How to vote in-person in New Jersey
Registered voters have two options to vote in-person in New Jersey.
1. Vote early at designated voting locations
Each county will hold early in-person voting at designated locations from Oct. 24 through Nov. 1.
These locations will be open 10 am–8 pm on Monday-Saturday, and on Sundays from 10 am-6 pm.
Note that the locations will NOT be the same as Primary Day polling places. The locations will be posted here.
2. Vote on Nov. 3 (Election Day) at your designated polling place
Polls will be open from 6 am-8 pm. Sample ballots will be mailed to registered voters on or before Oct. 21. These ballots will include your designated polling place location. You can also look up your polling location here.

Do I need ID to vote in New Jersey?
If you are a first-time voter who registered by mail, you might need to provide identification at the polls. The voter registration form asks registrants to provide a driver’s license number, non-driver identification number, or the last four digits of a Social Security number. If you registered by mail and did not provide one of those numbers on the form, you will need to show an ID before voting.
Acceptable IDs include a current and valid photo identification (e.g., New Jersey driver’s license, military or other government identification, student or job identification, store membership card, U.S. passport), or any current document with your name and address on it (e.g., a bank statement, paycheck, rent receipt, sample ballot, utility bill, government check, car registration, non-photo driver’s license, or any other official document).
If I registered to vote by mail, can I still vote in person?
You will be given a paper ballot and your vote will be provisional. It will be counted if your mail-in ballot is not received.
