In this fundraising email from Kean for Congress, received April 6, 2026, Vice President JD Vance proclaims Tom Kean Jr. "one of President Trump's strongest allies in Congress" and reiterates that Kean has Trump's "Total and Complete" endorsement for re-election in New Jersey's 7th Congressional District.

Just in case anyone still thought Kean was a moderate Republican in the mold of his father, former Gov. Thomas Kean, this letter makes clear he's 100% MAGA, 100% committed to "preserving and expanding President Trump's agenda."
Trump endorsed Kean on May 8, 2025 - a year and a half before this year's election - to fend off any primary challenge (see below).
Now, rather than try to show any independence, Kean uses this letter from Vance to show his total fealty to the Trump-Vance administration and its goals.
